London: Rock band The Killers are so pleased with the songs of their new album that they can`t wait to perform live.
The band - comprising Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Ronnie Vannucci Jr and Mark Stoermer - are currently working on `Battle Born` which is a follow up of their 2008`s `Day And Age`, reported Contactmusic.
"These songs are so good I`m just desperate to play some shows. I`d play the opening of a 7-eleven at this point," said Vannucci Jr.
"I`m sure taking too much time off is a danger. It`s a bit strange to spend time learning to hone your skills and figure out what makes you unique as a band then take half a decade off. We just hope that lightening strikes again," said Flowers, who has re-joined the band after four years.
The band frontman also added that taking four years out of the group has been a risk but he hopes that this album is as successful as their previous ones.
"We just hope that lightening strikes again," he added.
