England outmuscled Pakistan in 3rd ODI – Here are the records that were broken

New Delhi: England eased past Pakistan in the 3rd ODI, clinching the series with 2 games to spare.

Apart from the highest ever ODI team total, many records were broken on Tuesday.

Here is the list:

1. Highest ODI total by an English cricketer
Robin Smith held the record of highest ODI score by an Englishman for his 167* against Australia for 23 years. But Alex Hales’ now holds this feat for his 171 vs Pakistan.

2. First Pakistani bowler to concede 100 runs in ODIs
Wahab Riaz's figures of 10-0-110-0 are worst in the history of Pakistan cricket and second-worst figures in the history of ODIs. Australian Mick Lewis’ 113/0 being worst ever.

3. Highest ever team total in ODIs
Earlier held by Sri Lanka for their 443-run innings against Netherlands, England now hold this record having scored 444 runs against Pakistan in 50 overs.

4. Fastest 50 by an Englishman
Jos Butler did not face enough balls to score and ODI century but he did have to break Paul Collingwood's record of fastest 50 by an English cricketer, in just 50 balls.

5. Highest score by an ODI No. 11 batsman
While all proud records went to England, Pakistan did manage to claim one feat they would cherish. Mohammad Amir scored 58 from just 28 balls, registering his name in history and salvaging some pride for his side.
