Yuvraj Singh's parents upset with false 'drug-use' allegations on son by Akanksha Sharma

New Delhi: Ex-wife of Yuvraj Singh's brother Zorawar, had sparked many controversy following her eviction from Bigg Boss house.

The biggest of all was when she revealed that Yuvraj Singh used to smoke weed while Akanksha was married to Zorawar.

As a reply to the drug allegations made by Akanksha, Yuvi's mom Shabnam replied:-

“Why do you think she got eliminated? It’s not just because she wasn’t playing the game well but it was due to the fact that she was discrediting Yuvraj, who is a national hero. Obviously, there was public outrage as his fans didn’t like it and voted her out. Yuvi has got a huge fan following and who’s she? She’s merely hopping on Yuvi’s fame and was lying all the time. We will take lawful recourse.”

Shabnam further added, “Yuvi hasn’t told me anything, he doesn’t get into these things but just one tweet from him and there will be lot of outrage. He prefers keeping quiet. Also, he’s busy with his upcoming wedding and we don’t want to give her publicity. I would have definitely helped her if she’d asked for it, if she wanted to do something in life. It is her right and dignity. But she can’t badmouth us this way. Her lawyers are misguiding her.”

Yuvraj's father Yograj also refuted Akanksha's claims stating, "What nonsense is she talking? It’s absolute rubbish. I’m a father of four children and none of them are drug addicts. Yuvraj, as also my other three children, are like lions. They don’t eat grass. The lady who is accusing Yuvraj, should put her own house in order before alleging something. These allegations will not hamper the chances of my son’s comeback — he will certainly comeback and play for India!”

“I have met Yuvraj (post cancer treatment in USA) in a social gatherings in Delhi and never found him to be addicted to drugs”, affirmed Dr. Kumar, an oncologist in Delhi.
