Mumbai: Filmmaker Abhishek Kapoor is ready with his third directorial project ‘Kai Po Che!’, a big screen version of Chetan Bhagat`s novel ‘The 3 Mistakes of My Life’. And he also has a four-city unusual promotional strategy in place.
"...There are plans of bonding with friends in four cities and hanging out with them. The producers, UTV, are working on it currently," said Kapoor, who has come a long way after making a lacklustre start in 2006 with directorial debut "Aryan". But his second film "Rock On!", a musical drama, turned the tide for him when it became a blockbuster in 2008.
Now comes ‘Kai Po Che’, and Kapoor is likely to travel to Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and, last but not the least, Ahmedabad, where the original story is based in, and party.
Describing the reason behind the unusual promotion, he said: "`Kai Po Che!` is a film on friendship and bonding of these three boys that will touch your hearts. As a part of promotions, we will continue doing things that show how friends really bond and partying is something that they certainly do. We will have a blast during promotions."
‘Kai Po Che’ marks the big screen debut of popular TV actor Sushant Singh Rajput. He has teamed up with Amit Sadh, Rajkumar Yadav and Amrita Puri in the movie, scheduled for a Feb 22 opening.
