Mumbai: Sanjay Dutt seems to have taken an inspiration from veteran Tamil actor Rajinikanth for his film ‘Policegiri’ – the film will see the actor mouth “Mind it” time and again.
The film, directed by KS Ravikumar, also stars ‘Daangg 2’ baddie Prakash Raj and Prachi Desai in the lead roles.
The trailer of the film was launched Tuesday. The film has all the ingredients of a typical masala flick with some incredible action sequences stylised like the ones performed by superstar Rajinikanth.
The ‘Munna Bhai’ star is believed to have performed all the stunt sequences in the film without the help of a body double. And while doing so, suffered some injuries too.
Slated to release on July 5, ‘Policegiri’ is touted to be Sanjay Dutt’s first film to release after the actor surrendered to the TADA court after the Supreme Court passed a verdict on the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. Dutt has been convicted to 5 years’ jail term. The actor had earlier served 18 months in jail and surrendered on May 16 to serve the remaining 3 and a half years in jail.
