Sexual orientation is a personal choice, says Gul Panag

Mumbai, March 15: When it comes to speaking their minds, Bollywood babes never shirk from expressing themselves loud and clear! Model turned actor Gul Panag is one such Bollywood beauty who does not mince her words while expressing herself on a risqué issue of homosexuality. Panag will be seen in ‘Straight - Ek Tedhi Medhi Love Story’ along with Vinay Pathak where the story revolves around a man who is unsure about his sexual orientations. Talking to a newspaper about homosexuality in Indian context, Gul Panag said, “I don’t think the government or the society should meddle with people’s right to choose their sexual orientation. It’s a very personal matter and their personal choice should be treated with respect.” When asked about the movie, Gul said, “It’s a love story about a young man, who’s unsure if he is in love with a man or a woman. I am sure there are people out there who will relate to it. It’s a pity that so many of them have to lead dual lives just to fit into the society.” Well, that’s what straight-talk is meant to be!
