Pratyusha Banerjee suicide: Rahul Raj Singh's bail plea rejected

New Delhi: Television actress Pratyusha Banerjee's death not only shocked her near and dear ones but also placed her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh in the dock.

Rahul had applied for anticipatory bail in Dindoshi Court of Mumbai which has been rejected, reports suggest. A case of abetment of his girlfriend's suicide has been charged against him.

Another dramatic turn of events took place yesterday when Rahul's lawyer Neeraj Gupta backed off the case saying he was 'kept in the dark' about the details pertaining to the case.

"I withdrew from the case on humanitarian grounds. I felt that I shouldn't be fighting the case, and hence left it be so that injustice is not done to anyone," he told PTI.
