New York: Socialite Kim Kardashian, with her USD 600,000 paycheck for making an appearance this New Year`s Eve, seems to be the most sought after among Hollywood celebs since others are not so lucky.

The 30-year-old reality star, currently embroiled in a scandal about sweatshop conditions at the Chinese factories that manufacture some of her clothing lines, is being paid an estimated USD 600,000 to appear at Tao. The fee is part of a large, multi-event deal, reported New York Post. Other celebs are lagging far behind. In Las Vegas, Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is earning about USD 100,000 for playing the new 1Oak at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Actor Ashton Kutcher, who is on his way to a legal separation from actress Demi Moore, had several big money offers but turned them all down. According to a source, pop star Katy Perry, was asking USD 250,000 to appear but not perform at a club but has not found any takers yet. Rapper P Diddy was in talks to perform at the opening of Hyde in Vegas but the deal wasn`t to his liking. Instead, he`s throwing a private bash at his Miami home. And new mother Mariah Carey`s people had been shopping an appearance that would include a few songs, anywhere in the world, for USD 500,000. Nothing was forthcoming. "She`s not doing any New Year events. She`ll be in Aspen with her family," said her representative. PTI
