Akshay Kumar to romance Chitrangada Singh in ‘Desi Boys’

Mumbai: After being cast against some of the most scintillating beauties, Akshay Kumar will now be seen with yet another stunner in Rohit Dhawan’s debut directorial flick. The filmmaker, who is all set to pave his way into filmdom with ‘Desi Boys’, has managed to convince critically acclaimed lass Chitrangada Singh to romance Akhsay onscreen. The flick will now have Akshay Kumar, Chitrangada Singh and John Abraham in lead roles. Confirming the news a source said, “Chitrangada had a meeting with Rohit Dhawan on Monday afternoon at the Andheri office of Eros. Rohit has finally managed to get his cast in place after Akshay Kumar and John Abraham agreed to be a part of his debut film. The film is scheduled to go on the floors in November.” The director had been looking for a lead actress till someone suggested Chitrangada’s name. “Rohit was initially unsure because he did not know if she was open to the idea of working in a mainstream film, but it all fell into place. Even Chitraganda is very excited. The pairing of Akshay and Chitrangada will be something to look forward to for an audience which has seen all possible permutations and combinations of the present leading ladies,” adds the source. Now here’s one pairing to look forward to.
