London: Daniel Craig has admitted that he has stopped going to pubs because nosy fans take pictures of him with their camera phone, which makes him feel “violent”.
The 44-year-old, who is famous for playing British secret agent James Bond, revealed that he misses going to a pub and enjoying beer with his friends as some people are just going to film him.
“How could I go into a pub and have a few pints of Guinness and get a bit rowdy and sing a few songs when some tw*t’s going to film me and put it all over the internet?” the Daily Star quoted Craig as saying. The actor also confessed that he has stopped visiting them since taking on the role of 007 in ‘Casino Royale’ in 2006, and his life has changed rapidly in about 10 years. “Spending an afternoon in the pub with friends, relaxing and getting drunk and silly and not worrying. The difference, and this has changed rapidly in about 10 years, is phones,” the actor said as describing what he could no longer do,” he said. “They are the f***ing bane of my life. I get people who just take pictures of me with their camera phone while I’m having dinner. I want to get violent and I can’t,” he said. Craig also asserted that he finds people taking his pictures very intrusive, and further explained that he can’t stop it as every phone has a camera. “They think it’s their right to take a photo of me and I find that incredibly intrusive. But every phone has a camera on it, so how do we stop it? We can’t,” he added. ANI
