Martin Campbell to direct `Blake`s 7`

London: ‘Casino Royale’ filmmaker Martin Campbell is set to direct a reboot of cult sci-fi TV show ‘Blake`s 7’.

The hit BBC series, about a band of renegades fighting criminals in the future, originally ran from 1978 to 1981 and aired in 40 other countries around the world, reported Daily Star. Bosses at FremantleMedia have now announced that they are planning to bring the show back for 13 episodes, penned by "Heroes" writer Joe Pokaski, which will air on the Syfy network. FremantleMedia`s David Ellender said, "Blake`s 7 was such a forward-thinking concept that the show continues to have resonance with audiences today." PTI
