Whitney Houston’s death has ‘no obvious evidence of foul play’

Whitney Houston’s death is being investigated by the police and they say that while the exact cause of death is not clear, there is nothing yet to suggest foul play.

Washington: Whitney Houston’s death is being investigated by the police and they say that while the exact cause of death is not clear, there is nothing yet to suggest foul play. The 48-year-old singer was found dead at the Beverly Hilton on Saturday, and police have not revealed the exact place in her room where her body was discovered.
“Someone in her entourage found her unresponsive in her room… Our detectives are still in the room, and her body is still here as well,” a magazine has quoted Police Lieutenant Mark Rose as saying.
“At this time, there’s no obvious evidence of foul play or cause of death,” he said. He said that they were informed about the situation by the hotel staff themselves, following which they reached the scene. “I can confirm that Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 pm this afternoon at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. We received a call at 3:43 pm from hotel security and Beverly Hills Fire and police responded minutes later,” he said on late Saturday afternoon. “It’s unclear who notified hotel staff, because she has quite an entourage here at the hotel… An attempt was made to resuscitate, to no avail,” he added. As for there being any evidence of drugs of any kind in Houston’s room, Rosen said, “We don’t know yet. Her death is under investigation”. ANI
