Toilet – Ek Prem Katha: Akshay Kumar explains why ‘Gori Tu Latth Maar’ is a special song in behind-the-scenes Video

Mumbai: Akshay Kumar shared a behind-the-scenes on Twitter Friday in which he is seen explaining why the song ‘Gori Tu Latth Maar’ from ‘Toilet – Ek Prem Katha’ is special for him.

A number of Bollywood songs have depicted the festival of Holi in the past, but this one features Mathura’s traditional ‘Latth Maar’.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’ is inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s pet project – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar, Anupam Kher and Sudhir Pandey in pivotal roles.

The satirical social drama interwoven with a romantic tale is slated to release on August 11.
