New Delhi: Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Friday said that a top-level crisis management committee has been formed under the chairmanship of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to bring back captive Indian nurses back from Iraq.
Chandy also held a meeting with External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj for the second consecutive day, regarding the safe return of the nurses. "I can say very well that they are all safe and we are all trying to get them back at the earliest. For that purpose I met Sushma Swaraj and the Ministry of External Affairs has formed a crisis management top level committee under the chairmanship of Swaraj. They are also regularly meeting and discussing this issue," said Chandy. Forty-six Indian nurses, who were stuck in a building in Iraq`s war-torn Tikrit town, have been moved to Mosul by the ISIS militants.
