Pahalgam, July 10: The first batch of over 3,000 pilgrims have left Pahalgam for Sheshnag on their way to the holy cave of Amarnath amid tight security.

Pahalgam, July 10: The first batch of over 3,000 pilgrims have left Pahalgam for Sheshnag on their way to the holy cave of Amarnath amid tight security.
The enthusiastic pilgrims, Chanting slogans like Bham Bham Bhole and Jai Baba Barfani, were escorted by CRPF troops and state police contingents, officials said. No vehicle carrying Amarnath pilgrims will be allowed to proceed separately for security reasons, they said.
J&K governor S K Sinha, who also chairs the Amarnath shrine board, visited the holy cave on Tuesday to inspect the security arrangements.
