Bus plunges into river in Rajasthan's Bhilwara, 40 students rescued - See pics

Nearly 40 school kids were rescued with the help of the locals of Bijolia area after their school bus fell into a river.

Jaipur: In a horrifying incident, a private school bus fell into the swollen Palki river in Bhilwara district here on Monday. Thankfully, all the children on board the bus are safe.

The incident took place when the bus was on its way to the senior secondary school in Bijolia.

The driver drove over the inundated bridge and due to heavy water flow, the bus plunged into the river, SHO (Bijolia) Panchu Ram said.

People present in the area came to the rescue of children, he said.

"There were around 40 children including both girls and boys in the age group of 10-15 years. All the children are safe now," he said, adding a case has been registered against the bus driver.
