Mumbai: In a bid to discuss and exchange ideas on how social media has revolutionised the way we live, work and communicate, a unique five-day “Social Media Week” started off in Mumbai on November 16 with over 1,500 thinkers and innovators joining several brainstorming sessions.
“We are very excited to launch 'Social Media Week' in Mumbai where some top experts from across the industries are going to share experiences about the best use of social media,” said Rohit Varma, director, “Social Media Week”, in a statement.
With a theme titled “Upwardly Mobile: The rise of the connected class”, the event will see an array of speakers including brand expert Suhel Seth, international news anchor Richard Lui and joint commissioner of police (traffic) Milind Bharambe.
The speakers will share the experience of tapping social media to influence behaviour and run social campaigns that impact the connected class of India.
“Social Media Week promises to be a rewarding opportunity for all the participants as this year we bring to you an entire week of all things social media.” Varma added.
