Lindsay Lohan spends Thanksgiving with father

Los Angeles: Troubled star Lindsay Lohan was temporarily let out of rehab so she could spend Thanksgiving with her family.

The `Mean Girls` star stepped out of the Betty Ford Centre yesterday to spend the festive day with her estranged father Michael Lohan, reported TMZ. The 24-year-old actress was allowed out of the centre for 15 hours only. She drove to her home in Los Angeles from the sober living facility she is staying at in Palm Springs, to have a meal with Michael and a group of friends. Lindsay returned to the facility later in evening. The Thanksgiving meal is the latest proof that the actress and her dad are working hard to repair their strained relationship. The pair and the Hollywood starlet`s mother Dina recently underwent family therapy sessions at the clinic, and Michael insisted it was a very "cleansing" experience. Lindsay has been ordered by a Los Angeles court to stay in rehab until January 3 2011 after she tested positive for cocaine during a random drug test in September. PTI
