New Delhi: ESA astronaut Tim Peake has shared a mesmerizing video that justifies the presence of static electricity in earth's outer space.
The British astronaut who is currently in space as a part of NASA's Expedition 46/47, keeps updating his fans and followers on social networking platforms with stunning views of Earth from the International Space Station (ISS).
This time lapse video was put together by taking a picture every second for around six minutes.
Space is full of charged particles called protons and electrons and an imbalance in charged particles result in static electricity.
This video shows colorful blinking sparks of static electricity that look like disco lights!
