Sonia expresses grief over Rajesh Khanna`s demise

New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi Wednesday expressed her deep sorrow on the demise of Bollywood`s first superstar Rajesh Khanna, who passed away in Mumbai after prolonged illness.

A statement by the Congress said Gandhi has expressed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Khanna, also a former party parliamentarian. "Congress president Sonia Gandhi has expressed her deep sorrow and grief on the demise of Shri Rajesh Khanna," the statement said. Rajesh Khanna, Bollywood`s first superstar, passed away Wednesday following prolonged illness. IANS
