New Delhi: ‘Fevicol Se’, Kareena Kapoor’s item number from the sequel to 2010 action film ‘Dabangg’ has landed in hot soup for its lyrics ‘Laundiya patayenge missed call se’.
Producer Arbaaz Khan has been slapped with a notice by the National Commission for Women (NCW) for using derogatory lyrics in the song from ‘Dabangg 2’. The NCW also reached out to Pankaja Thakur, CEO of the Central Board of Film Certification, saying that producers should not be allowed to use such words. Nirmala Samant-Prabhavalkar, member of the NCW, told reporters that “people must learn to respect women instead of using abusive words against them or depicting them in a bad way in film songs. The matter is serious. We sought an explanation from Arbaaz Khan but he hasn’t replied to date.” It has been reported that Arbaaz’s lawyer has made a visit to the commissioner’s office in New Delhi to seek time to reply to the notice.
