New Delhi: When legendary actress Sridevi breathed her last, family, friends and fans were hit by a shock wave which engulfed the entire nation for days. Her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor, who is now all set to enter the world of movies recently opened up in an interview about how she managed to get back to work amidst this personal tragedy.

Janhvi will be seen making her debut in 'Dhadak', a film which is directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. In an interview with India Today, Janhvi bared her heart and revealed how difficult it has been for her to come to terms with Sridevi's untimely death.

She told India Today, “It hasn't been an easy experience. My work and my family have given me the strength to go on. If it wasn't for coming back to the sets of Dhadak or being able to act, I think it would have been much tougher than what it is now. I am very thankful that I had the opportunity to work in the film and act. It saved me in many ways.”

Janhvi's debut film is slated to hit the screens on July 20, 2018. It also marks the debut of Shahid Kapoor's brother, Ishaan Khatter.

Indian's first female superstar and an iconic actress Sridevi breathed her last on February 24, 2018, in Dubai where she had gone to attend a family wedding. The reports concluded that the veteran actress died of 'accidental drowning' in a hotel bathtub.
