New Delhi: The wait is finally over and actress Priyanka Chopra and American singer Nick Jonas are now husband and wife. The couple had their Catholic wedding at the Umaid Bhawan Palace at Jodhpur on Saturday.

As per people.com, Nick's father Paul Kevin Jonas Sr officiated the Christian ceremony where the couple exchanged wedding bands by famed jeweller Chopard.

On Sunday, the bride and groom will continue their epic wedding weekend with a Hindu ceremony.

"It is super important for Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honours her heritage and culture, just as it's important to also have a Western ceremony that honours Nick's Christian upbringing," a source told people.com earlier this week.

The respective families of the bride and the groom including Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra, brother Siddharth and cousins Parineeti and Mannara Chopra and Nick's parents Paul and Denise, brother Kevin and his wife Danielle, and brother Joe and his fiancee 'Game of Thrones' star Sophie Turner arrived at Jodhpur on Thursday.

Priyanka was a glowing bride in a custom-made Ralph Lauren wedding gown, and Jonas, too, wore Ralph Lauren. In fact, both families including the bridesmaids and all of the groomsmen were dressed up in Ralph Lauren.

The entire luxury hotel has been booked for the wedding guests. While the guests were asked not to bring mobile phones with the camera at the venue, the entry to the palace was strictly restricted by invitation. Apart from the family members, Mukesh Ambani with his wife Nita, daughter Isha and sons Akash and Anant attended the wedding. Akash's finace Shloka Mehta and Anant's friend Radhika Merchant too attended the function.

YouTuber Lilly Singh aka Superwomen, Elizabeth Chambers, wife of actor Armie Hammer, British singer and actor Jasmin Walia were present at the ceremony. Salman Khan's sister Arpita also attended the wedding.

Bollywood's favourite wedding couturier Sabyasachi was also spotted among the guests.

In the meantime, the couple will have a Hindu traditional wedding on December 2nd. The celebrity couple will be getting married at Baradari Lawns which is a massive space that easily accommodates 700-750 guests. According to reports, guests present will be served authentic Goan cuisine for which some of the best caterers have been called from Goa.

Ahead of their big weekend, the couple celebrated Thanksgiving in India together. Days later, they held a puja ceremony at Priyanka's mother Madhu Chopra's house in Mumbai to spiritually celebrate the upcoming event.

Weeks beforehand, Priyanka celebrated her bachelorette party in Amsterdam and had a bridal shower in New York City. The couple first began talking in 2016 via Twitter and met in person for the first time at a party for the Academy Awards in 2017.
