Janmashtami 2024: A Glimpse Of The Celebrations Across Country- In Pics

In Mathura, thousands of devotees from across the country gathered at Lord Krishna temples for Janmashtami celebrations. The streets outside the temples were crowded with people arriving early to participate in the festivities.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed rituals at the Sri Krishna Janmasthan temple in Mathura on this auspicious occasion.

In Srinagar, the heart of the celebration was at Lal Chowk, where devotees gathered to honor the occasion. Kashmiri Pandits celebrated Krishna Janmashtami with a religious procession.

In Delhi, the Janmashtami festival was marked by vibrant performances at the Birla Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple).

Similarly, in Jharkhand, the festival was celebrated with traditional fervor as devotees flocked to Lord Krishna temples.

Meanwhile, in Guwahati, devotees performed the abhishek of Lord Krishna.

Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik created a stunning sand sculpture at Puri beach in Odisha, with the message 'Kill the Evil', to mark Janmashtami.

Artists also performed in a special program at the Krishna Janmasthan Temple in Mathura, adding to the festive atmosphere.
