Maruti Suzuki Fronx is based on the Baleno, but it sports enough distinction to come out as a crossover. It also boasts higher ground clearance than Baleno. On the whole, the design looks chic.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Handling
The Fronx has a slightly higher ride height than the Baleno but handles rather tightly. Ever around winding roads, the Baleno sticks well to the line.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Performance
The 1.0L Booster Jet engine produces 100 Bhp and 140 Nm of max output. Since the turbo lag is well-contained, the performance remains peppy. However, it isn't as frugal as the 1.2L NA petrol.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Gearbox
The 5-speed MT is a slick shift with rather neatly designed gear ratios. The clutch is light too, making the Fronx an easy drive even in traffic.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Dashboard
Borrowed from the Baleno, the dashboard of the Fronx packs in all the practicality of the premium hatch. However, it uses a slightly darker theme for the interior, making it look upmarket.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Instrument Cluster
The instrument binnacle is easy to read and is legible in broad daylight. Although, the fuel efficiency calculator isn't really accurate.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx Infotainment Screen
The 9-inch infotainment screen on the Fronx is just flawless. It features wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a 360-degree parking camera.
Maruti Suzuki Fronx HUD
Like the Baleno, Fronx too comes with a heads-up display. It is legible, but finding a perfect position is slightly tricky. Sadly, the Fronx misses out on an electric sunroof.
