Shrubsole reportedly struck with the second ball and finished with 3-9 as Sri Lanka`s captain Shashikala Siriwardene scored an unbeaten 38, to be the only one player crossing 10 runs in their team`s 85-9.
According to the BBC, the 2009 women World T20 champions sealed their victory over Sri Lanka with 24 balls to spare as Sarah Taylor made 36 and Heather Knight 21 to help England confirm a place in the semi-finals.
England`s women cricket team reportedly produced an exemplary bowling display, as Shrubsole once again spearheaded the attack in impressive style along with left-arm spinner Rebecca Grundy and seamer Jenny Gunn took two wickets each and Danielle Hazell and Natalie Sciver took one each.
Shrubsole is reportedly the leading wicket-taker in the women`s tournament with combined figures of 10-57 from 16 overs
England are currently top in Group B of this years women World T20 championship with three wins from four games, but the result could be altered as West Indies have a match left and could finish top on the group, the report added.
