Johannesburg: Cricket South Africa (CSA) has said that they would need further meetings with the International Cricket Council (ICC) before reaching an agreement on the ICC`s revamp proposal.
The ICC had recently announced in Dubai plans relating to the future structure, governing of the game and financial models of the organisation and claimed to have received unanimous support from members including CSA.
However, Sport24 reports that CSA, who held a joint session on Saturday to discuss the issues surrounding the ICC`s new plans, later said the unanimous support was subject to approval.
CSA President Chris Nenzani said in a statement that they have reached a position where they will need to engage further with the ICC leadership before reaching a consensus position ahead of the next ICC board meeting, adding that he is confident that they can reach an agreement based on the principles that they strongly adhere to.
