CBI books ex-finance secretary in currency note security thread graft case

The CBI on Thursday conducted searches at the premises of former finance secretary Arvind Mayaram. The searches came after filing an FIR against him and a UK-based company for alleged corruption in the supply of exclusive colour shift security thread for Indian bank notes. CBI has converted it into a regular case against Mayaram, now economic advisor to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.
