Being part of `Fast & Furious 7` huge deal for me: Ali Fazal

New Delhi: Rubbing shoulders with the likes of Paul Walker and Kurt Russell while filming `Fast & Furious 7` was a huge deal for Bollywood actor Ali Fazal, who has grown up watching the action franchise.The 27-year-old actor has a cameo in the 7th installment of the Fast & Furious series, and he said he will always cherish the time he got to spent with the cast including Walker, who was killed in an accident in November last year.

"I am done shooting for the film. I had shot last year when Paul Walker was also around and then finally wrapped up shooting two months ago. It is a guest appearance and and I would not like to make a huge cry about it," Ali told reporters. "I have grown up watching the franchise so it was a huge deal for me - being on the sets with the director James Wan (`Insidious`, `The Conjuring`), Ludacris, Kurt Russell, Paul Walker. It was nice to get to just chill with them after shoot and to know what they are really like," he said. Ali revealed that he had given the audition for the film in extremely adverse situation and thought he would not get the role as his interpretation of the scene was a far cry from what it originally was. "I had taken a break and was in Mussoorie. It was then that I got a call from my agent, who informed me about the audition and asked me to send a video. But my interpretation of the scene was totally opposite of what 800 other people had done. I was stuck in the hill station and it was snowing heavily. I could do nothing but improvise with my costumes and everything," Ali said. The actor has had the experience of working in projects in the west- he had a small role in Ashok Amritraj-produced `The Other End of The Line` and was also part of American TV miniseries `Bollywood Hero`. He turned down a role in popular terror-based series `Homeland`. When asked how he manages to get his hands on such projects, Ali said, "I know someone who is a big agent there. She knows a lot of people from Hollywood. So it was through her that I get to know about the auditions." Ali, whose latest film `Bobby Jasoos` opposite Vidya Balan hits theatres tomorrow, said he does not mind being part of Hollywood ventures but is more keen to find his feet in Bollywood. "I am open to doing more Hollywood projects but my prime focus is Bollywood. I love working here more. It is like I fit here more than in Hollywood," he said.
