Check out our PIC GALLERY» | MEDALS TABLE» Men's 100m final The marquee event of the London Olympics-men’s 100m final lived up to the hype as the defending champion Usian Bolt of Jamaica retained his title creating a new Olympic record (9.63s) beating Yohan Blake who took silver and Justin Gatlin who clinched bronze. Justin Gatlin got a terrific start but Bolt stormed past everybody right in the middle and crossed the 100m mark with 9.63s, a new Olympic record to retain his 100m gold. Yohan Blake finished second with 9.75s and Justin Gatlin just got better of Tyson Gay to clinch bronze with a time of 9.79s. The final result: GOLD BOLT Usain - 9.63 OR SILVERBLAKE Yohan - 9.75=PB BRONZEGATLIN Justin- 9.79 PB GAY Tyson - 9.80 SB BAILEY Ryan - 9.88=PB MARTINA Churandy-9.94 THOMPSON Richard 9.98 POWELL Asafa 11.99 Women's 400m final Sanya Richards-Ross (USA) won the Women's 400m final in a close finish with defending champion Christine Ohuruogu (GBR) coming from behind to clinch silver and DeeDee Trotter (USA) coming third in the bronze medal place. Women's triple jump final Olga Rypakova of Kazakistan won gold in the women's triple jump giving her country the 6th medal (all golds) at London Olympics. Caterine Ibarguen colombia finished second winning silver. Olha Saladuha of Ukraine tok bronze. Men's 400m semi-final Lalonde Gordon won Heat 1. Kirani James won Heat 2. In the same heat 'blade runner' Oscar Pistorius finished last. Luguelin Santos of Dominican Republic won Heat 3. Men's 100m final The Men's100m final line-up is like this: THOMPSON Richard (T&T) POWELL Asafa (JAM) GAY Tyson (USA) BLAKE Yohan (JAM) GATLIN Justin (USA) BOLT Usain (JAM) BAILEY Ryan (USA) MARTINA Churandy (NED) The Men's100m semi-final heats are done with. After Heat 3, Yohan Blake (9.85s), Tyson Gay (9.90s) qualified for the final and Adam Gemili qualified by place. After Heat 2, Usain Bolt (9.87s), Ryan Bailey (9.96) qualified for the final and Richard Thompson qualified by place. After Heat 1, Justin Gatlin (9.82s), Churandy Martina (9.91s) qualified for the final and and Asafa Powell qualified by place. The Indian interest at Olympics for Day 9 is over with MC Mary Kom winning her pre-quarter bout and Indian hockey team suffering yet another loss being the highlights. Netherlands posted their fourth successive victory in Pool B to move to 12 points, while Germany are on nine from four outings and South Korea have moved to six after their 4-1 victory over India. The former World Champion shot a total of 70 (24, 24, 22) out of 75 in the first three rounds on the first day of the qualification at the Royal Artillery Barracks. Sandhu now has a total of 70 out of 75 after three rounds. Australia's Michael Diamond is the leading scorer with 75 out of 75. Mary Kom storms into Olympic quarterfinals India`s M.C. Mary Kom punched her way into the quarterfinals of women`s boxing in the 51kg category at the 2012 London Olympics here Sunday. Sandhu now has a total of 48 out of 50 after two rounds. Tennis: Williams’ sisters win gold Serena Williams and Venus Williams defeated Czech Republic's Lucie Hradecka and Andrea Hlavackova 6-4, 6-4 in a women's doubles gold medal tennis match at the All England Lawn Tennis Club at Wimbledon in London on Sunday. RULE: In the first round each shooter will fire 5 sets of 25 targets, with 10 targets thrown to the left, 10 to the right, and 5 straight in each set. The shooters take two shots at each target.
