Is Ekta Kapoor hinting at a 'reboot' of 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay?--Deets Inside

The Czarina of Television Ekta Kapoor revolutionized Indian small screen decades ago with shows like 'Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi',  'Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki and 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' that are regarded as cults now. Because of these shows, Indian television got stellar actors like Sakshi Tanwar, Smriti Irani, Ronit Roy and several others. While most of her shows were about the saas-bahu saga, some narrated blissful love stories.

But recently what caught our attention was a subtle tweet by the head honcho of Balaji, where she hints at rebooting one of her most popular shows. As we delved deeper into her tweet, we could somehow draw the dots and reach a conclusion that Ekta is hinting at rebooting 'Kausatii Zindagi Kay'

Ekta wrote on Instagram,“With a piece of my broken heart I wrote in 2001 …17 years later I ‘ reboot’ it dipping it in personal pain and lacing it with experiences of an older me! Bringing back my most successful love saga that ran for 9 years!!! Again I’ll take my broken heart n make it into art!!! #namestobeannounced #waitfortheannouncement”

Here's the picture:

The show starred Shweta Tiwari(Prerna), Ronit Roy(Mr Bajaj) and Cezzane Khan(Anurag Basu) who was later replaced by Hiten Tejwani. The show became an instant hit with the viewers and this was probably one of the first shows on television where a negative character got more attention. Urvashi Dholakia as Komolika, the famous baddie of the show, was a rage among viewers. In the show, Anurag and Prerna remained separated throughout their lives. Now if we draw parallels with Ekta's tweet, it also talks about heartbreak and an unfulfilled love story.

So if what we are thinking is true, there couldn't be a happier news for people who have grown up watching this show!
