Ranveer steps into Aamir’s shoes!

Mumbai: When Ranveer Singh made his debut in Yash Raj’s `Band Baaja Baraat`, little did he know that he would soon turn out to be one of the most sought after actors in Bollywood. And his hard work has reaped fruits. The young actor has reportedly grabbed the lead role in ace filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s film `Black Velvet` which was originally written for Aamir Khan. The film is believed to be set in the backdrop of the 1970s and deals with the story of the underworld. The realistic filmmaker had kept this project on hold for long but when he couldn’t get Aamir on board, he thought it was best for him to proceed sans the superstar. Hard work pays and this holds true for Ranveer for winning the lead role in Kashyap’s film isn’t everybody’s cup of tea! Great going young man.
