LPG users in major cities with income below Rs 10 lakh to furnish income proof for subsidy claim

New Delhi: The domestic gas consumers in Tier-I and Tier-II cities which earn less than Rs 10 lakh income in a year will have to furnish income details to their LPG distributors in order to continue receiving subsidy as per Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in an interview to The Hindu newspaper.
The consumers will be asked to sign an affidavit in this respect.
Talking to the newspaper, Pradhan said that only three percent of people earning Rs 10 lakh and above have shed their subsidy claim till now.
