New Delhi: In a major announcement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that there is no need for women to change their names in the passport after marriage.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was addressing the 50th year celebrations of the IMC Ladies Wing.
He said, “Women don't have to submit marriage or divorce certificate for passport. It'll be their discretion to use father/mother's name in passport.”
Modi addressed the event through video conferencing.
