Police called after Madonna's wild 57th birthday celebrations

Los Angeles: Pop diva Madonna celebrated her 57th birthday in style over the weekend and the party was so loud that police were reportedly called.

The "Like A Prayer" singer was throwing a bash with her nearest and dearest in the Hamptons on August 15 night, but it is said the noise got out of hand.

The neighbours were unimpressed with the sheer volume coming from the bash and they complained to the police, who arrived at 2.30am, reported TMZ.

However, the report adds that the sound was brought under control to a more acceptable level by the time police allegedly arrived.

The star and her kids partied at M Bar, with the pop icon stepping out in a sheer long-sleeved top worn over a black lace bustier.

In the first photo, the gypsy queen stared down the camera lens as she bit into a white disc with the initial 'M' hanging out of her mouth.
