Brown wants assault case against him dropped

London, May 02: R&B singer Chris Brown who is currently facing felony charges for allegedly assaulting Rihanna wants the case against him to dropped citing "outrageous governmental misconduct". The singer`s lawyer Mark Geragos appeared at a Los Angeles County Court yesterday asking for the case to be dismissed on the grounds of the photographs of a `beaten-up` Rihanna which were leaked by an insider in LAPD, Female First online reported.

"Leaks can form the basis for a motion to dismiss the case in regard to outrageous governmental misconduct," said Geragose. The 19-year-old singer has been charged with assaulting girlfriend Rihanna and making criminal threats following a pre-Grammy awards party on February 8. Brown who pleaded not guilty to the charges on April 7 reportedly does not want to make any more court visits. Bureau Report
