Did Salman 'Kick' Katrina out of item song?

New Delhi: Fans of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif were doubly happy when rumours surfaced that the two would be sharing screen space again in the much awaited `Kick`. However the gossip was quickly thwarted when Katrina denied being a part of the item number. Katrina`s spokesperson had told a leading tabloid, "The rumours are baseless. Katrina has not even been approached for any song in Kick. She is currently busy wrapping up her three films for which she has been working non-stop." What did not come to light was why this happened. Turns out that apparently Salman did not want her alleged ex to work with him in the movie. The superstar has almost always ended his relationships on a sour note and Kat seems to be no different. The closeness they once shared has now turned into a bitter ego battle. A source was quoted saying that Salman has gone as far as to say that he will get a more popular actress to do the item song. It has come to light that it may be none other than the hitmaker Deepika Padukone. Katrina was last seen with Sallu Bhai three years ago in a special number in `Bodyguard`.
