Mamta Mohandas weds family friend

Kozhikode: Malayalam actress Mamta Mohandas Wednesday got married to her family friend and Bahrain-based businessman Prajith Padmanabhan.

The marriage was held at a hotel here and was attended by film personalities besides friends and relatives of the actress. The couple got engaged at Muvattupuzha in Ernakulam district last month. Mamta, 26, made her debut with "Mayookham" directed by veteran director Hariharan in 2005. She has acted in 30 films, including Tamil, Telegu and Kannada. In a short span she created her space in the Malayalam industry and has acted alongside all the three superstars -- Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi -- besides other top stars including Jayaram, Dileep, Prithviraj and Kunchacko Boban. Besides acting, Mamta is a trained singer as well and has rendered her voice in some Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. IANS
