London: "Deadpool" has officially become the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time worldwide from the wider X-Men film.

Ryan Reynolds's comic book movie, overtook "The Matrix Reloaded" haul of USD 742 million, reported Digital Spy. The action comedy has scooped USD 754million till now. Fending off sharp competition from the likes of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," the original trilogy, "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "X-Men First Class".

"Days of Future Past" came in second with USD 747million, while Brett Ratner's "X-Men: The Last Stand" grossed USD 459 million, in third place. The original "X-Men" movie, directed by Bryan Singer, has made USD 296m while "Wolverine" made USD 373million.
