New Delhi: Kaamal Haasan's upcoming movie 'Uttama Villain' garnered trouble when Vishwa Hindu Parishad reportedly called for a ban on the film.

VHP claimed that the movie will hurt hindu sentiments, particularly hurting the feelings of the followers of Vishnu through a song in the movie. They claimed that the lyrics are hurtful and the film must be banned as they talk about Prahlad and Hiranyakashyipu.

The Tamil comedy-drama stars Pooja Kumar, Nasser and Andrea Jeremiah in lead roles. Late filmmaker K Balachader, who was Kamal’s mentor, also features in the film.

Directed by Ramesh Arvind, The script for ‘Uttama Villain’ is written by Kamal himself.

This is not the first time Haasan's film has faced trouble, Previously a two-week ban was imposed on ‘Vishwaroopam’ in Tamil Nadu  after some Muslim organisations alleged that the movie portrayed their religion badly.

In 2010 another song from Kamal's  'Manmadhan Ambu' was banned before the film was allowed to release.
