Still, a really good batting performance from Mumbai and it was all possible after a good start. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave a really good start, their best this season as they ended the Powerplay with 63 runs. The way both were going, a huge score was on the cards but Rohit fell after a quick fiery 45, and after that, some poor shot selection cost Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan their wicket. Mumbai lost the plot in the middle overs but it was then the late carnage from Tim DavidÂ

Tim David is down for a chat. He says that the start was good but could not get as many in the end but he hopes that the bowlers can get the job done. Gujarat dominated the middle phase and hence they are not chasing a big total here. Gujarat did not find the solution earlier but they started using slower deliveries more often in the backend and that helped them take wickets at regular intervals. Gujarat will be the happier side going into the break and they will fancy a win here. Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he took two big wickets of Rohit and Pollard. 

The late heroics from Tim David has helped Mumbai get past the 170 mark but still, it feels like a par score as the ball is coming nicely onto the bat and Gujarat will fancy chasing this. Mumbai bowlers are not in great form and they need to be top-notch to defend this.

Still, a really good batting performance from Mumbai and it was all possible after a good start. Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan gave a really good start, their best this season as they ended the Powerplay with 63 runs. The way both were going, a huge score was on the cards but Rohit fell after a quick fiery 45, and after that, some poor shot selection cost Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan their wicket. Mumbai lost the plot in the middle overs but it was then the late carnage from Tim DavidÂ

Tim David is down for a chat. He says that the start was good but could not get as many in the end but he hopes that the bowlers can get the job done. Mentions that they are probably a little short, but in the end, they were trying to get as many as possible. Adds that his job was to finish the innings, and as a batter, he wanted to capitalize on the other balls as well. Gujarat dominated the middle phase and hence they are not chasing a big total here. Gujarat did not find the solution earlier but they started using slower deliveries more often in the backend and that helped them take wickets at regular intervals. Gujarat will be the happier side going into the break and they will fancy a win here. Rashid Khan was the pick of the bowlers as he took two big wickets of Rohit and Pollard. 

The late heroics from Tim David has helped Mumbai get past the 170 mark but still, it feels like a par score as the ball is coming nicely onto the bat and Gujarat will fancy chasing this. Mumbai bowlers are not in great form and they need to be top-notch to defend this.
