For a change, the Bangalore openers provided a steady start. There was a conscious effort from them to rotate the strike along with punishing the bad balls. Devdutt Padikkal got out in the last over of the Powerplay but the foundation was laid for Bangalore. However, Kolkata pulled things back through their spinners. They dried out the runs and it was followed by a steady procession of wickets. Sunil Narine was in red-hot form as he hunted down Srikar Bharat, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers and Glen

For a change, the Bangalore openers provided a steady start. There was a conscious effort from them to rotate the strike along with punishing the bad balls. Devdutt Padikkal got out in the last over of the Powerplay but the foundation was laid for Bangalore. However, Kolkata pulled things back through their spinners.
