London: Cheryl Cole was spotted getting up close and personal with a new fella, who looks like her former footie husband star Ashley Cole, at her wild 29th birthday party in Las Vegas. The party was thrown by best mate will.i.am.

The pop babe was later seen leading the mystery bloke to a limo waiting outside. “There was definitely some electricity in the air. It was strange how closely he resembled Ashley,” a website has quoted a witness as saying. “For a moment or two, I thought it was him. Cheryl just looked like she had landed the best birthday present ever,” the onlooker added. Cheryl looked excited as she left the swanky Encore Beach Club with her new companion. She treated her 2.5million Twitter followers to a breathless message, writing: “Erm; few questions!! Who am I? Where am I?? Why am I?? What am I?” The Call My Name songbird had spent her birthday with the handsome new fella along with a number of girl pals including her Girls Aloud bandmates Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. The singer was presented with a yellow birthday cake, designed to look like a gift-wrapped box and filled with tasty strawberries and cream. One source said: “There was a lot going on, but you could see Cheryl’s attention was drawn more and more to the Ashley lookalike. It was no surprise when they left together.” Cheryl, in the run-up to the bash, appeared to be looking for love, posting a series of tweets saying girls of her star sign were “emotional” and preferred “masculine men”.
