Doctors 'earning' Rs 4 lakh/month?
According to the letter by vigilance department, “Doctors in the mohalla clinics are making false entries of patients, hence making up to Rs 4 lakh per month. Everyone in the health department knows this, but are doing nothing,” as per the report in DNA.
Noteworthy, the Vigilance Department had initiated an internal probe two weeks ago as well on the overall functioning of 'Mohalla Clinics'.
The Vigilance Department has raised 11 points of concern and sought replies from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and the Chief Medical District Officer (CDMO).
Reportedly, during the inauguration of mohalla clinics, doctors were told to spend at least 7-10 minutes on one patient for treatment.
