New York, Sept 19: Pink scored her first solo No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 Thursday with "So What," ending the three-week reign of TI`s "Whatever You Like."
The feisty pop singer previously topped the in 2001 through a Grammy-winning remake of Labelle`s "Lady Marmalade" with Christina Aguilera, Mya and Lil` Kim. "So What" is the first single from Pink`s fifth album, "Funhouse," which is slated for an October 28 release.
T.I. slipped to No 2, swapping places with Pink, while Rihanna`s "Disturbia" held at No 3, and MIA`s "Paper Planes" rose one to No 4. The chart`s top debut was Jay-Z`s all-star hip-hop track "Swagga Like Us" at No 5. Credited to Jay and TI featuring Kanye West and Lil Wayne, the song introduces Jay-Z`s upcoming "Blueprint 3" album. Chris Brown`s "Forever" fell two to No 6, Ne-Yo`s "Closer" rose one to No 7, and T-Pain`s "Can`t Believe It" featuring Lil Wayne jumped four to No 8. Following its return to Apple`s iTunes store after its abrupt removal by Atlantic Records, Estelle`s "American Boy" surged 44 places to No 9. Lil Wayne`s "Got Money" featuring T-Pain rose five to No 10. Other big debuts included Taylor Swift`s "Love Story" at No 16 and Fall Out Boy`s "I Don`t Care" at No 21. Billboard`s airplay-based rock charts were unchanged, with Staind beginning a third week atop Modern Rock with "Believe" and current albums chart champ Metallica starting a second with "The Day That Never Comes."
