Sheena Bora case: Mukerjea family stands united in support of Peter

Mumbai: With Peter and Indrani behind bars, the Mukerjia family on Thursday expressed hope that Peter will come clean in Sheena Bora murder case. 

In a statement today, the family said Peter was innocent.  

"Whole family is confident of Peter’s innocence and we are in no doubt that due process will ultimately reveal this," reads statement. 

"Unbridled speculation in media on Peter’s culpability apart from being hurtful is counterproductive to fair trial," said the Mukerjea family statement. 

Peter, who was brought back to Mumbai on Thursday morning, is likely to be presented before court today. CBI will seek extension of his remand.
