Kingdom of Dixit: Indian man proclaims himself to be king of unclaimed land in North Africa

He undertook a six-hour drive to declare himself king of the 'Kingdom of Dixit' in Bir Tawil, an 800-square mile track.

New Delhi: A 24-year-old Indian explorer has declared himself as the ruler of an unclaimed land in North Africa between Sudan and Egypt.

Suyash Dixit, a computer engineer from Indore, is now encouraging people to apply for citizenship and is also planning to approach the United Nations with his demand to make a formal claim to the kingdom, as per reports.

He undertook a six-hour drive to declare himself king of the 'Kingdom of Dixit' in Bir Tawil, an 800-square mile track.

Bir Tawil is a 2,060-square-km uninhabited area that is claimed neither by Egypt nor Sudan and the stretch of land is believed to be the largest area unclaimed by any recognised nation, as per reports.

He spent two nights in planning the route for the travel where he could take the car and paid a local driver to take him to Bir Tawil.

The route through which he travelled falls under Egyptian military and require permission as it is an international border. The military has a shoot at sight order as the area is infested with terrorists.

He was allowed entry into the area on three conditions - No photos of military areas, Not to carry any valuables and to return in a single day.

He also put the royal flag at two location marking his territory, which he designed himself.
