New Delhi, Jan 02: Ever since Aamir Khan starrer ‘Ghajini’, India’s sole Rs 1 bn flick, hit cinema theatres two weeks back, Bollywood has been on a stand still. With filmmakers not willing to pit their flicks against Mr Perfectionist’s record breaking act, Hollywood Box Office turns out to be the sole hope for a change. And what better way to get over the ‘Ghajini’ frenzy than to indulge in one of the biggest epic movie of all times ‘Australia’.Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Baz Luhrmann, Australia with its impressive star cast, the magnum opus appeal has already won rave reviews aboard. Starring Australian beauty Nicole Kidman and the ever so handsome Hugh Jackman the film is essentially a drama film.
The story charts its way back to the beginning of World War II. Kidman plays an English aristocrat who at the beginning of World War II comes to take charge of a cattle station, the size of Maryland. However, trouble begins when English cattle barons hatch a conspiracy to take control of her land. Unwilling to let go she joins the forces of a rough hewn stock man played by Jackman to drive her cattle across hundreds of miles of country’s most infamous land. They make there way even as the war continues with the Japanese forces attacking Pearl Harbor just months ago. So go out and watch this film to understand and know more about the land down under.
