New Delhi: After successfully rolling out the free voice calling feature, mobile messaging service WhatsApp might soon bring free video calling service for its users.

The voice calling feature by WhatsApp has already garnered a lot of attention worldwide, with reports starting to pour now that the video calling feature is in the testing phase. Purportedly WhatsApp employees have been given the trial service.

Reports further say that if everything goes well, the video calling app will be launched as soon as May.

Reports also state that the feature as of now will be available for select Android phones while it may eventually be rolled out to others on invite basis though.

In January, the company said that WhatsApp's user base touched 700 million people every month, up from 600 million in August last year.
