Conkary, Jan 15: The military junta which seized power in Guinea last month installed late Wednesday a government of technocrats and soldiers, according to a statement read out on national radio and television.
The junta announced a 29-member government in which soldiers will hold the Defence, Security, Finance and Justice Ministries. No representatives of political parties are included.

The decree on forming the government was signed by junta leader, Moussa Dadis Camara, "upon the recommendation" of Prime Minister Kabine Komara, a banker who was appointed by the putschists last month.

The junta seized power just hours after long-serving President Lansana Conte died last month.
